Learning From My Gambling Errors

First to clarify why I write this essay. I have been gambling online or at land-based casinos for many years. I have discovered, the dependency can grab a hold of you and you won’t even notice it until you are penniless. Particularly if you’re on a winning streak. I have gone through countless tens of thousands of dollars in only a tiny period of time and to this day on occasion, I’ll go too far. It seems you are just having a blast until you decide to pay attention to your defeats and the anguish settles in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can get it back" constantly. It never works. Then you become queasy in your belly and the more you try the faster you lose.

When you notice that you’re ahead, STAY on the UP! When you begin to lose, don’t say to yourself, "well perhaps one more" and over and over again, believe me, this plan RARELY ever works. Say you’re playing on slots, have an amount put aside prior to starting your play. Don’t exceed that boundary, no matter how captivating. If you actually succeed, put that in a separate pot. Do not risk your wins no matter what. Once you’ve gone through your primary set limit, bail out. Head out, whether it is on the net or at a land-based casino, do not stick around. Always remember, there is going to be a different day, another time.

Remember, betting is assumed to be exciting not exhausting, nauseating work! If you are not enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan’t afford the cost, do not even start.
